Scrapbooking

I am thinking about doing a scrapbook to represent my senior year. I want to include anything and everything that reminds me of this school year. Even events that happened this school year. Here are a few things I have so far:

-Barack Obama: news paper clippings, pictures, etc...
-CBU: stickers, schedule, etc...
-My 18th birthday: pictures, invitation, etc...
-School, in general: progress report, ACT scores, acceptance letters, tassel, etc...
-Friends: pictures and assorted memorabilia with me included
-Family: pictures and assorted memorabilia with me included
-Isabella: pictures, etc...
-Prom: pictures, souvenirs, etc...
-Graduation: pictures, souvenirs, etc...
-College: pamphlets, acceptance letters, etc...
-Lap-Band: drawing, pictures, food labels, etc...
-Memphis pillow fight: article, pictures, etc...

Other ideas, but not sure if I am going to do them in the future: Beale St. Music Fest, Memphis in May, Bonnaroo, any other summer trips before college...

Also, this certain scrapbook will stay at home with my family, so they can reminisce whenever they are missing me. I will have my Senior scrapbook that I got along with other senior memorabilia from Balfour. The Senior scrapbook will travel with me.

Hi Lindsey!
I read your blog....GOOD for you! Doing a scrapbook is the greatest gift EVER you can give to your family. It is your "life history," in every way. Plus, if you have children one day....how meaningful it will be to them to read your thoughts/feelings and see your photos as a young adult.
Have you chosen your album yet? It is your most important decision. If you will look in the stores, you will find "post bound" type albums, which are held together with 3 "screws" and the pages are held to the screws with about 1/8th inch of flimsy plastic. It is only a matter of about a year until those start ripping! You will have done all that work! I have seen it over and over again.
I humbly invite you to view the Creative Memories album...it has a lifetime guarantee and is called flex-hinge album. The pages are held in with metal pieces and the edges are reinforced to keep out light and dust, the major enemies of photos. You can view them at www.mycmsite.com/marycluley
Go to "shop products" and then "traditional scrapbooking" then "albums" - 12 x 12 is the most common and I think, best size for the type of project you are taking on.
While you are at the website, go to "project center" for tons and tons of IDEAS!
I hope I have helped you in some way, and if I can help you any further, do contact me via my website. With every sincere good wish,
Mary
